Miss Kinlee

Just had to share a couple of  photos of miss priss that a fellow photog took today. She did a great job! Thanks Wendy Deaton!

For those of you wondering, all of the adorable accessories came from Belly Buttons!

Haircut, Birthday Parties, and Fishing Naked.

Little man got a haircut. He was in desperate need. I wish my hair would grow as fast as his does.

After the haircut we headed over to the The Johnson's for Grace's birthday. Taylor and I work together and had our babies two days apart. Along with another co-worker, who's baby was born two days after Grace No, we didn't plan it. Actually I think all three pregnancies were quite a surprise!

This is them lovin' on each other! Which I don't think daddy liked too much. =)  But, it sure didn't last long, and they were right back to chasing and tackling one another.

Grace got to hold Kinlee for bit, and I'm pretty sure she is ready to be a big sister. Hint, hint.

We headed back to Nana's to get ready for the birthday party. Carter would not get dressed. All he wanted to do was run around naked, and help Pawpaw with the bathroom renovation.

Then he got quiet...Which is never a good thing. So, I went to check on him and this is how I found him. Fishing in the bath tub, completely nude.
He makes me smile.

Ok, so Carter has always been one of those slow present unwrappers. Until this year. I don't know what got into him, but it literally took him less than 2 minutes to unwrap his presents. He would pull all of the paper out and once he got to the present he would just toss it. I'm pretty sure a few people got pegged with a book or two.

So these are the three, unplanned "dispatch babies". But we are all so blessed to have them in our lives! I just wish we could get them together more often. The did, afterall, spend nine months "together", while we all pregnant and working on the same shift.

Carter with his uncle Zach (my younger brother)
Can't believe I got Carter to sit still long enough for another picture.
I'm pretty sure no one saw Carter for more than 5 minutes the entire night.

We didn't really have a theme for his birthday since we had it at Fun City, and they provide all the cups, plates, etc. We had decided on a Yo Gabba Gabba cake. But, for some reason Carter bugged me all week for a Razorback cake. So, I called Rick's and asked them if they would make a Razorback cake instead. Thanks Rick's Bakery for another A-mazing cake!

P.S. Yes, those are Carter's finger marks in the cake. The cake looked fantastic for about 2 minutes. Then Carter got ahold of it. Still looked pretty good even after he put his cute little grubby fingers all over it.

Having a blast in those nasty, germ-infested tunnels.
So, after a long day of playing..we went home and played some more. . He didn't even look at his presents at the party, so he had to check 'em all out when we got home.
You thought I was going to say that he passed out, and slept for 12 hours didn't you? No, not my Carter. I could never be so lucky.

This picture really has nothing to do with this post. Except that I took this picture of little Paisley at Carter's birthday party. I just LOVE this picture and wanted to share it with everyone!

Not Me, or My Child.

I did NOT eat an entire bag of Ghirardelli chocolates in one night. Oh, and I did NOT talk about wanting to loose weight while eating said chocolates.

I did NOT have my son's birthday party at the worst place possible, that was full of the trashiest white trash of Northwest Arkansas...And I of course would NOT just let my child run free while we were in there.

I did NOT let the unpacking that needs to get done slip my mind for another whole week.

I did NOT sleep for 12 hours, after getting off work Sunday morning only to wake up and go right back to work.

Finally, I did NOT go all weekend without a phone because I was too lazy to look for my charger. I would NEVER do that.

My husband and I have NEVER said damn in front of our 3 year old son. Our sweet little boy has NEVER played with his police car and shouted. "Damn man!". Willie did NOT get curious and ask him who he was talking to, and our perfect boy did NOT shout, "The drunk guy that won't get out of my police car!" I do NOT bring stories of work home with me and Willie NEVER watches DEA, Cops, etc. while Carter is asleep on the couch next to him. Nope, NOT us NEVER.

My son would NEVER stick toys in his diaper...

..Or, break his toys that he just got the day before, for his birthday.
Maybe this was the drunk guy he couldn't get out of his police car?

My Little President.

Exactly three years ago at this time I was waking Willie up telling him, "I think it's time." Time to go to the hospital, that is. I remember asking him to play board games with me to try and make the time go by faster. Because I really wanted to wait as long as possible before we headed to the hospital. This all started at about 4:00 a.m. He was tired, and at one point looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Stephanie, you are in labor. You should not be wanting to play games." Then, I think he rolled over and went back to sleep. Thanks for the support Willie!

I called the doctor's office at about 8:00 and the nurse said that I needed to come in, but to come to the clinic and the doctor would check me first. We took our time getting ready and then headed to the hospital around 9:00. When the doctor checked to see if I was dilated, he looked at me and said. "Well, I've got good news, and I've got bad news. Bad news is, you're not dilated any more than you were last week. Good news is...[creepy pause] I just broke your water.  I headed up to labor and delivery, soaked in my own fluids, feeling like I did in 2nd grade when I peed my pants while walking home from school, but that's a different story.

Several hours passed and I was feeling great! Sometime that afternoon the nurse asked me if I wanted an epidural. I told her that I really wanted to wait as long as possible, until the pain was unbearable. She told me that the anethesiologist was going to be leaving soon and if I decided I wanted one later it may take awhile for them to get to me, and by then it may be too late. So, I agreed to getting the epidural, and it was all done within 30 minutes. Let me tell you, it was fantastic! Even though what I had felt so far was nothing I couldn't handle. Hell, I have had menstrual cramps worse than what those contractions felt like. I definitely felt a lot more relaxed. At this point I hadn't changed much, I think the most I was dilated to was a 4 or 5. At about 6 the doctor told me that since I wasn't progressing and the baby hadn't dropped, that it would probably be best just to go ahead an do a c-section. Which secretly, I wanted all along. I'm lazy, and would rather not have to go through all that pushing and hard work.

Carter James Henderson was born at 6:45 p.m. on February 19th, 2007. He was 9 lbs. 12 ozs. and 21 1/2 inches long. Yes, you read that right. almost 10 pounds. No wonder he didn't want to even attempt to come out naturally.

February 19th that year just happened to be President's Day. The day that I hoped Carter would come into the world on. When I first started thinking about what I would name my children, long before Willie and I even got together, I decided I wanted to name my baby girl Reagan. Then, I changed my mind and decided I liked the name Kennedy. Funny, both presidents. So, I decided I was going to go with a president's theme for my children's names, whether my future husband liked that idea or not. When we found out we were having a boy, we decided on Carter James. After James "Jimmy" Carter. Little did we know our little bundle of joy would grace us with his presence on President's Day. So it stuck. And 3 years later, his sister McKinlee "Kinlee" Marie was born, and named after William McKinley. Of course, as any mother would, I believe my little man has the potential to become president, and he like peanuts. So him and Jimmy have a lot in common.

Happy birthday little man! These past three years with you have been the greatest time of my life. Mommy, Daddy, and Sissy love you VERY much!

Newbie. Sort of.

Man, time flies when you have children. I can't believe February is almost half over already! So, I have decided to start blogging again, seeing as how I can't even remember what I did last week. This blog is going to have a little of everything. A little about me and my family, some of my photography, and also a little of my crafts.  This is what has been going on this past year..

Carter grew like a weed, and is looking more and more like his daddy everyday. He really looks up to him, but I have a feeling he is unfortunately going to be like his momma.

We had a terrible ice storm. So glad the ice storm this year wasn't as bad. We were out of power for a week and had to stay in a hotel.

Carter turned 2!

Willie and I decided to get hitched.

We were married by the JP on March 6th 2009.

...and then found out I was pregnant a month later.

Zach (my brother) graduated from Harber High School.
On July 13th (my birthday) we found out we were having a baby GIRL!

...and I got HUGE, fast.

My little stinker soon realized he wasn't going to be the center of attention forever.

I had two wonderful baby showers. One at work hosted by Tiffany, Elizabeth, and Tricia.
And also one hosted by Emily for other friends and family. They all did an amazing job!

Carter had many talks with sissy before she got here.

McKinlee was a pumpkin and Carter was a dinosaur for Halloween.

Carter went to visit Uncle Zach.

We got Kinlee's room all ready for her arrival.

But didn't spend much time getting ready for Christmas.

McKinlee Marie was born December 2nd, 2009.

I really hope I can keep up with this darn blog this time. =)
